Invisible Grail’s Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting Invisible Grail. Our Privacy Policy explains the ways in which we gather, use, disclose and manage personal data. All our processes are GDPR compliant, however our policy is not just here as a legal requirement but to give peace of mind to all our users and visitors.

What information do we collect and how is it used?

We collect details from subscribers to our mailing list. We also collect details from the people we work with on our bespoke and open programmes and people who are friends of Invisible Grail and are interested in our work.

For subscribers to our mailing list, we record:

  • Name
  • Institution
  • Email address

We offer the option for subscribers to tell us their preferences, both for our programmes and for general topics that we specialise in and write about. Subscribers can also tell us their profession. Neither of these options are required but offered so that we can create communications that are relevant to you.

For people we work with on our open and bespoke programmes, and who connect with us about what we do, we record:

  • Name
  • Institution
  • Job title
  • Contact details

As with our subscribers, we offer the option for you to tell us what you are interested in, so that we can pass on any of our writing, communications or products that might be of interest to you.

For both our subscribers and users, we record the geographical location.

From time to time, we may collect information about you from social media platforms or any publicly available source. This information is used to help us prepare to meet you in person if you are attending one of our programmes, and to inform areas of interest so that we can create content that is relevant and timely to our community and subscribers.

We do not use or collect personal data from cookies.

Other uses:

Other uses of personal data may include:

  • To help with running of our programmes, such as payment, event management, sending programme communications etc.
  • To communicate about subscriptions – joining, updating preferences or unsubscribing
  • To communicate about a project or enquiry

Service Providers: who we use and how we use them

We use two providers to store and process personal data – our Administrate CRM database and Mailchimp for our email communications. Our CRM database records any information helpful for our programmes and acts as a record of who we engage with. Our use of Mailchimp is for sending e-newsletters and marketing communications, and for automated decision making processes (such as including automated emails to new subscribers.)

Both providers are GDPR compliant and are securely protected in line with legal requirements. We want to assure you we will not share your information with any other service providers or third parties.

Your marketing options:

We offer visitors to our website and the people we connect and work with the option to join our mailing list and to connect with us on Twitter (@InvisibleGrail).

Subscribers to our mailing list can provide additional information about themselves if they wish, which is used to share more relevant content with them.

Updating your preferences and unsubscribing

You can update your marketing preferences or unsubscribe at any time. This can be done by emailing Louise Clifton (e: louise.clifton@invisiblegrail.com) or by clicking on the ‘update your preferences’ link at the bottom of our marketing emails.

You can also request for your data to be deleted. Please bear in mind that if you request this, any recorded preferences, such as unsubscribing, will also be deleted. If you would like your data deleted, please contact Louise Clifton.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We have created our Privacy Policy with the GDPR act (May 2018) in mind. We’re constantly vigilant to how we securely store and use your personal data. Changes to our Privacy Policy may occur to reflect changes in the law.
