An award-winning playwright and TV writer, Alan has taught Creative Writing at the Universities of Warwick and Gloucestershire, and set up an MA in Professional Creative Writing at Coventry University.

“In all my roles, whether working on long-running television drama, or in a university setting – or in my role as Chair of a large regional theatre – I have been concerned with the same basic questions. What stories are we telling? Who is the audience? And what do we want to happen next?”
